About Barker & O’Donoghue

Barker & O’Donoghue is a San Francisco based construction firm focused on high end residential work. The partners come from the field, not the boardroom, and stay closely involved in every project. Their work is built on steady leadership, clear communication, and a long view of how a home should feel and perform years after the job is done.

Built on Care and Collaboration

Led by founders Richard Radford and Sandy Ayers, The Garden Route Co. was built on a shared philosophy: that design and construction should reflect care for both people and place. We approach every project with craftsmanship, transparency, and collaboration; whether it’s a residential build, landscape restoration, or long-term garden care.

Design and Build as One

Our studio operates as a unified team of architects, builders, and landscape specialists who believe the best environments emerge when design and construction evolve together. We honor the details that define a home; the way light moves through a space, the texture of a wall, the line of a garden path. Our goal is to create enduring spaces that are as functional as they are beautiful, grounded in sustainability and made to last.
